Race Unity Day

Today we celebrated Race Unity Day at school and it was great to see all the different cultures represented at May Road School.  Everyone wore special clothes from their cultures.  Here are some stories Room 1 wrote about their special clothes:
 I am wearing an Indian dress and I am wearing a pink dress. - Adnah

 I am wearing an Indian outfit. - Luqman

Giant shoes


Last week for our big book we read The Hungry Giant's Shoe by Joy Cowley.  It was about a grumpy giant who loses his red shiny shoe.  Afterwards we made our own giant shoes...they are so varied and creative!
