Mother's Day

Room 1 did some great portraits of, and writing about, their mums for Mother's Day.  They then put some golden sparkles on them and made them into cards.  Take a look at their awesome mahi!

 

 

Room 1 and 15's assembly

Room 1 and 15 were the assembly hosts last Friday; here is a video of them singing 'Ma te Mahi Ka Ora' which translates as 'hard work brings rewards.'  There was a lot of hard work behind the assembly which brought rewards on the day!

ANZAC stories

Last week we spent time learning about ANZAC Day and participating in the school's ANZAC celebrations.  Room 1 and 2 put out the crosses and poppies to remember soldiers from the local area.  Here are some stories the children wrote about the experience:
