Science

We have been doing Science and practising making predictions and observations.  We have been using the learning power 'communication' and talking about what we can see.  In this experiment, called 'wicking water' children watched the coloured water travel up the paper towels. 

Here is some of our writing about the experiment:

We put food colouring in the cups.  The blue and yellow made green.  The red went on the paper.  It almost went in the light water.

Matariki korowai

The day before the holidays we made some miniature korowai for Matariki.  The idea was to create a pattern using the different colours.  I like the way there was such variety in the patterns. 

Farewell assembly

 Today was a sad day as we said farewell to two teachers who have been at the school for many years.  Here are some pictures from Mrs Mellick and Ms Tuipolotu's lovely farewell assembly.
